After working the last 4 years on the west side of Lansing, Dr. Kim, a general dentist of 15 years, has established herself as a Platinum Plus Provider of Invisalign in Michigan. Her passion is changing lives with healthy smiles and smile transformations. Her interests include Cosmetic Dentistry, Anterior Esthetics, Implant Dentistry, Restorative Dentistry, Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics, such as bridges and dentures, Orthodontics utilizing Clear Aligners, and Functional Occlusion with Smile Design using conservative, predictable dentistry that lasts.

Dr. Kim was born and raised on the east side of Michigan and went to high school in Saginaw. After her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan in Economics and Biology in 1994, she worked in Boston for 6 years for a start-up dental implant company with an excellent Boston prosthodontist. She trained at the New York University School of Dentistry and received her DDS degree in 2005. During additional graduate training in prosthodontics and cosmetic and dental implants, she was mentored by top New York City dentists.

She continues to study advanced courses with GDIA for dental implants. She is a member of the Dawson Academy in St. Petersburg, FL. She has studied under Dr. David Galler, one of the most successful Invisalign providers and instructors in the country.

Dr. Kim is also a graduate of the prestigious Resnik Implant Institute where she has completed her continuing eduction in Implant Dentistry.

Her main approach to dentistry is providing the best education for the patient on the proper form and function of their bite (occlusion) and why their current oral condition is the way it is, and how to prevent future problems while providing the most harmonious cosmetic result.

She likes to carefully listen to the patient’s needs and wants to better understand the patient’s goals and work together to obtain the optimal result. Mainly, she tries to be a perfectionist by striving toward dental excellence, all with a jovial, down-to-earth manner and creating a little “fun” in the dental chair for patients and staff. And she’s not too shabby when given injections of anesthetic! People are not just patients in Dr. Kim’s chair. They are family and always treated as such!

In her free time, she studies yoga-vinyasa and yin, photography (her main subject is her basset hound, Angus), and sometimes plays golf. She loves watching historical dramas and NatGeo. She is a member of St. Williams Catholic Church in Walled Lake and St. Mary’s in Milford.
